 5. Titanfall

Titanfall is a multiplayer first-person shooter and the debut title developed by Respawn, whose staff previously developed games in the Call of Duty franchise.

In Titanfall, players control “pilots” and their mech-style Titans, and fight in six-on-six matches set in war-torn outer space colonies. The game is optimized for fast-paced, continual action, aided by wall-running abilities and populations of computer-controlled soldiers.

There’ a reason the minds at Respawn changed the world once with Call Of Duty’s multiplayer. Titanfall may not have made that same sort of impact, but for those on the inside, those who spend their evenings stomping around in giant robots, there is simply no online shooter that can touch it – Eurogamer

2. Gears of War 4

Gears of War 4

Gears of War 4 is a third-person shooter developed by The Coalition and published by Microsoft Studios.

Gears of War 4 takes place 25 years after Gears of War 3 and the Imulsion Countermeasure weapon destroyed all Imulsion on the planet Sera, taking the Locust and the Lambent with them as well. Unfortunately, this also knocked out the use of fossil fuels, forcing humanity to adapt new ways for survival.

Gears of War 4 received a positive reception upon release. Critics praised the gameplay and quality of the game, though several commented that the campaign feels somewhat dated.

“Gears of War 4 plays it fairly safe but brilliantly executes on a variety-packed campaign and meaty multiplayer suite” – IGN

“…a remarkably consistent, complete package with the kind of refinement and focus few other games can manage, providing excellent solo, cooperative, and competitive options that rank it as one of the best action games of 2016” – Polygon
