Best Xbox One S HDR Games

Let’s cut to the chase. Sadly, at time of writing, the range of games that support HDR on the Xbox One S is tiny.

Whilst the Xbox One S is great value hardware – especially considering it includes the ability to play Ultra HD blu-rays at a lower cost than a standalone player – there are currently only a handful of games that utilise HDR.

We’ve worked through our best Xbox One games list and singled out only the games on that list that do support HDR, and these are the best Xbox One S games with HDR support.

3. Final Fantasy 15

Final Fantasy 15 is an open-world action RPG. Square Enix spent 10 years developing the game, the follow-up to 2010’s Final Fantasy 13. Yes, it was in development for 4 years prior to it’s predecessor being released. Final Fantasy XV received generally favourable reviews from critics, with the game’s combat, soundtrack, visuals, open world design, JRPG elements, lead characters and ending widely praised by critics.

Resident Evil 7 is a glorious return to the series’ survival horror roots. For an immersive horror experience RE7 uses a first-person viewpoint, the first game in the series to do so. Resident Evil 7 received an excellent critical reception with some writers calling it the best horror game of all-time.

Forza Horizon 3 is the sequel to 2014’s Forza Horizon 2 and part of the Forza Motorsport series, developed by Playground Games.

Forza Horizon 2 again takes place during the fictional “Horizon Festival”, this time being held in Australia. Forza Horizon 3’s map is said to be twice the size of the map in Forza Horizon 2, ranging from Surfers Paradise to Byron Bay. The game features over 350 cars at launch.
