Forza Horizon 3 is the third Forza Horizon game (obviously) and the 9th overall instalment in the Forza franchise. The Horizon games take the focus series off the track and onto the open roads. For Horizon 3, Forza visits Australia.
Forza Horizon 3’s Australian map is said to be twice the size of the map in Forza Horizon 2, ranging from Surfers Paradise to Byron Bay. The game features a four-player co-operative multiplayer campaign and cross-platform play (between Xbox One and PC) as part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program.
In previous Horizon games the player has been depicted as one of the racers of the Horizon Festival, but all that hard driving in the previous games hasn’t gone unnoticed, and the player has gone up in the world for part 3, now serving as the Festival Director.
As director, the player can hire or fire racers as well as organize and make custom race tracks around the map, with the aim of making Horizon the biggest festival in the world. There are over 350 cars present at the launch of the game.
Forza Horizon 3 received an excellent critical reception upon release, immediately dropping into the top 10 of our best Xbox One games list, and being ranked as the absolute best Xbox One racing game.
